Basketball Recap: St. James Academy Comes Up Short

St. James Academy lost against Blue Valley back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. James Academy Thunder received a blow as they fell 58-39 to the Blue Valley Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Tigers are ranked fourth).

St. James Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Blue Valley, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Looking ahead, St. James Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Metro Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blue Valley, they will square off against Bishop Miege at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
