Baseball Recap: Sequoia Finds Home Field Redemption Against Carlmont

There's no place like home for Sequoia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the Carlmont Scots get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Ravens have posted against the Scots since May 29, 2021.

Morgan Winfield made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sequoia is 9-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise. Winfield was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.

Winfield wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Logan Mathias, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Sequoia's record is now 15-12. As for Carlmont, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

As of now, neither Sequoia nor the Scots have any future games scheduled.
