Baseball Recap: Clinton Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Clinton won the last time they faced West Bladen and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dark Horses sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dark Horses.

Jaxson Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Tyler Hall also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Clinton's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for West Bladen, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Clinton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
