Basketball Game Preview: Frankenmuth Eagles vs. Portland Raiders

The Frankenmuth Eagles will face off against the Portland Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Frankenmuth sitting on five straight victories and Portland on 11.

Frankenmuth is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Freeland, who was ranked 11th at the time (Frankenmuth was ranked ninth). Frankenmuth came out on top against Freeland by a score of 53-44 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Portland made easy work of Hamady on Monday and carried off a 54-34 win. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Portland's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Frankenmuth, their win bumped their record up to 21-4.

Frankenmuth and Portland were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but Frankenmuth came up empty-handed after a 57-56 defeat. Can Frankenmuth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
