Basketball Recap: Great Crossing Takes a Loss

Great Crossing lost against Madison Central back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Great Crossing took a hard 70-55 fall against the Madison Central Indians. While losing is never fun, Great Crossing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Madison Central is ranked seventh).

Nataya Strader was her usual excellent self, going 9-for-19 en route to 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Madison Central. Strader is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 47% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brittany Campbell, who posted nine points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Great Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Madison Central, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

Great Crossing does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison Central, they will challenge Lafayette at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
