Softball Recap: Sickles Comes Up Short

If Sickles was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Armwood on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gryphons came up short against the Alonso Ravens on Thursday, falling 18-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gryphons of the 12-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Sickles saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Morrissey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alonso, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sickles will head out to face off against East Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Alonso, they will venture away from home to take on Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
