Basketball Recap: Brookfield Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Brandon Hardman and Blake Hammond

After flying high against Liberty last Monday, Brookfield came back down to earth. The Brookfield Warriors fell 51-38 to the East Canton Hornets on Friday.

Blake Hammond and Brandon Hardman certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hammond posted 16 points and three steals, while Hardman put up 11 points. Hammond is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season.

Brookfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. East Canton's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-10.

Brookfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Canton, they will take on Independence in a tournament on Tuesday. One thing working in Independence's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
