Baseball Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-1 to the Paloma Valley Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Adrian Islas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Paloma Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

While Poly had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
