Pahrump Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Virgin Valley Bulldogs on Monday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by eight runs or more this season.
Pahrump Valley got a big performance out of Danika Cox-Hosino, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Cox-Hosino has posted since back in April of 2024. Mariah Gray was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
The win (which was Pahrump Valley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Virgin Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-9.
As of now, neither Pahrump Valley nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
