Baseball Game Preview: Sun Prairie West Wolves vs. Madison La Follette Lancers

The Sun Prairie West Wolves will head out to square off against the Madison La Follette Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Sun Prairie West and 27 for Madison La Follette dating back to last season.

Sun Prairie West came up short against Oconomowoc on Monday, falling 15-8.

Emerson Adamowski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Madison La Follette fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Madison West on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Regents by a score of 10-9. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Lancers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Miles Fitz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Rudy Renteria was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Sun Prairie West's record is now 1-3. As for Madison La Follette, their record now sits at 0-4.

Sun Prairie West took their win against Madison La Follette when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
