It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Saint Francis ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  10-3 margin over the Gilroy Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 12 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Ava Bulanti made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other pitching news,  Mercedes Coller tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Those  eight  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high.
 Back at the plate,  Peyton Tsao was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gabby Rocha, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run.
 Saint Francis  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilroy only managed nine  hits.
The  victory (which was Saint Francis' eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gilroy, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 12-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Francis will face off against Los Gatos at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Gilroy, they will square off against Leigh at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Longhorns at the right time seeing as the Longhorns are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
