Basketball Recap: North Laurel Takes a Loss

North Laurel lost against Clay County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Laurel Jaguars took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clay County Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.

North Laurel's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Clay County, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Laurel will square off against Corbin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clay County, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oneida Baptist Institute at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
