Chenango Valley won the last time they faced Windsor Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Black Knights by a score of 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Abby Cron spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mackenzie Hubenthal, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Gabrielle Cashman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Chenango Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Windsor Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Chenango Valley will take on Sidney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Sabers at the right time seeing as the Sabers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Windsor Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lansing at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something the Black Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
