Football Game Preview: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Belleview Rattlers

Seminole Ridge is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Belleview is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hawks will host the Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Seminole Ridge 8.4, Belleview 5.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

Seminole Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Martin County 33-0. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 305 yards and five touchdowns while completing 88.2% of her passes. Fogel has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times she's played.

Seminole Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chachi Saunders and Dakota Parks.

Meanwhile, Belleview earned a 14-6 victory over Springstead on Monday.

Seminole Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.6 points over those games. As for Belleview, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
