Baseball Recap: Christian Academy-Louisville Takes a Loss

Christian Academy-Louisville started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Walton-Verona. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 4-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Centurions have suffered since March 27th.

Cameron Combs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Christian Academy-Louisville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Overstreet, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Christian Academy-Louisville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Walton-Verona, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.
