Mt. Carmel posted their closest win since August 30th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lawrenceville Indians 2-1. The Golden Aces haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mt. Carmel got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-18.

Mt. Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Lawrenceville, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mt. Carmel will take on rival Richland County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lawrenceville is set to square off against their familiar foe Casey-Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
