Basketball Recap: Leo Lions vs. Huntington North Vikings

If Leo was riding high fresh off their 52-31 takedown of Fort Wayne North Side last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Leo Lions fell 55-44 to the Huntington North Vikings on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 47-23 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Leo still got an impressive performance from Leah Shappell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Shappell also racked up five assists, the most she's had since back in January. Emma Connally was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.
