Hozho Academy stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Jemez Valley Warriors a 13-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hozho Academy.
Hozho Academy got a massive performance out of Kaleb Bowannie, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Bowannie is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last five games he's played. Brandon Bonaguidi was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
On Jemez Valley's side, they saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Sandia, who went 1-for-2 with a double.
Hozho Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Jemez Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
