Volleyball Recap: Williamsburg Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Williamsburg Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royal Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Williamsburg Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 15-9.

Williamsburg Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Guardian Christian Academy, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Williamsburg Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Richmond Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Guardian Christian Academy will take on rival St. Michael the Archangel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
