Football Game Preview: Junction Eagles vs. Shiner Comanches + How To Watch

The Junction Eagles will face off against the Shiner Comanches on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after 13 games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Junction is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Granger 42-14. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Bode Bierschwale went supernova, rushing for 51 yards and two scores, while also picking up 49 receiving yards. Those 49 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Junction's run defense was locked in: Granger could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. The Eagles' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.

Junction didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hunter Dale and Casen Roberts.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Shiner beat Iola 20-14 on Friday. Those 20 points were actually the fewest the Comanches have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Junction better keep an eye on Clayton Fric. He was instrumental in Shiner's win, rushing for 76 yards and one touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Jones, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD.

Junction's record is now 13-0. As for Shiner, their record now sits at an identical 13-0.

Junction was dealt a bruising 27-0 loss at the hands of Shiner in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
