Soccer Game Preview: Giles vs. Galax

For the second straight game, Giles will face off against Galax. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Maroon Tide at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Giles has given up an average of 3.8 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Giles is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Galax, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Giles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Galax are ranked 32nd).

The win made it two in a row for Galax and bumps their season record up to 7-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two contests. As for Giles, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
