Football Game Preview: Downingtown East Cougars vs. Coatesville Red Raiders

For the first time this season, Downingtown East will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Coatesville Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Downingtown East is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Bayard Rustin just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 31-14 bruising from the Golden Knights. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Coatesville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Henderson 33-0. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Coatesville's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Downingtown East, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
