Baseball Game Preview: Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls vs. Wall Township Crimson Knights

The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls will head out on the road to challenge the Wall Township Crimson Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Point Pleasant Beach will be strutting in after a victory while Wall Township will be coming in after a loss.

Point Pleasant Beach barely beat Toms River North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Garnet Gulls blew past the Mariners 12-2 on Saturday. The Garnet Gulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wall Township suffered their closest defeat since April 3rd on Saturday. They fell just short of Monmouth Regional by a score of 3-1. The Crimson Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Point Pleasant Beach and bumps their season record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Wall Township, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
