Basketball Game Preview: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Riverton Silverwolves

The Copper Hills Grizzlies will head out to square off against the Riverton Silverwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Copper Hills will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Copper Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Corner Canyon, who was ranked 24th at the time (Copper Hills was ranked fourth). Copper Hills simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Corner Canyon 68-21. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Skylie Barker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 15 boards. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Aspen Fraser was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Riverton came up short against Bingham on Thursday and fell 56-49. The Silverwolves have struggled against the Miners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Copper Hills pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Riverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Everything came up roses for Copper Hills against Riverton in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 67-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Copper Hills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
