Baseball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

The Monticello Mustangs came up short against the James River Midlothian Rapids on Friday and fell 11-6. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gavin Halliday made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Monticello now has a losing record of 1-2. James River Midlothian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Monticello is taking a road trip to challenge Waynesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for James River Midlothian, they will host Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
