Football Recap: Palmetto Ridge Falls to Labelle in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Palmetto Ridge had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Marquay Bradshaw had an outrageously good game for LaBelle as he rushed for 91 yards and two scores on only seven carries. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Justin Thach, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

LaBelle pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Palmetto Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-14 loss against Southwest Florida Christian on the 29th. As for LaBelle, they have also already played their next match, a 45-0 victory against Gateway Charter on the 29th.
