Volleyball Recap: Phillipsburg Takes a Loss

Phillipsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garden City Buffaloes. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13.

Phillipsburg's offense was headlined by Kamrie Chestnut and Ryleigh Seems, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Chloe Jacobs and her seven assists.

Phillipsburg's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Garden City, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Phillipsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Hays on the 7th. Garden City has also already played their next match (against Cheney), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
