Soccer Recap: Evergreen Valley Comes Up Short

Evergreen Valley was the 2-1 winner over Yerba Buena when they last played one another back in May of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Evergreen Valley Cougars lost 5-2 to the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors on Wednesday. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Victor Ashkar and Kyle Han scored both of Evergreen Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Yerba Buena, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen Valley will take on San Jose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evergreen Valley is facing San Jose at the right time seeing as San Jose is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Yerba Buena, they will face off against James Lick at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
