Baseball Recap: Scappoose Find Success

While Scappoose's victory against Junction City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 18th.

Scappoose pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Junction City, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Scappoose will venture away from home to face off against St. Helens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Junction City, they will head out to take on Cascade Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
