Football Recap: Kiski Area Takes a Loss

Kiski Area made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Gateway, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Gators by a score of 34-31 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost five in a row.

Gateway found their leader in freshman Mayson Mitchell, who threw for 257 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 35 yards and one score.

Kiski Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gateway, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Kiski Area wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-0 loss against Penn-Trafford on the 19th. As for Gateway, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-28 victory against Franklin Regional on the 19th.
