After losing to Monacan the last time they met, James River Midlothian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rapids were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Chiefs on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Rapids, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jayden Grant made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
