Softball Recap: Lanai Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lanai put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 28-20 margin over the Molokai Farmers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pine Lads have posted against the Farmers since April 8, 2023.

Lanai let Malia George and Mahealani Esteban run wild. George got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one double, while Esteban scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-7. Esteban is also crushing it when it comes to RBI: she's brought in at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Sega Ozoa, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Lanai was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Lanai's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Molokai: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
