Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Monarch

After losing to Coral Glades the last time they met, Monarch decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Monarch Knights skirted past the Coral Glades Jaguars 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Jaguars are ranked 144th).

Kearstin Iadarola was the driving force of Monarch's attack as she scored both of Monarch's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

The victory got Monarch back to even at 3-3-2. As for Coral Glades, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monarch will square off against Everglades at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coral Glades, they will challenge Cooper City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
