Basketball Game Preview: Howard Huskies vs. Cross Creek Razorbacks

Having just played yesterday, the Howard Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Cross Creek Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Howard has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Cross Creek will come in with 15 straight wins.

On Monday, Howard was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Harlem.

Westside typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Cross Creek proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 67-59 victory over the Patriots. Given the Razorbacks' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Patriots are ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cross Creek's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Howard, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Howard took a serious blow against Cross Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 66-30. Can Howard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
