Baseball Recap: South Central Beats Jacksonville for Their Third Straight Win

South Central waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Jacksonville Cardinals. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

South Central let Brody Brannan and Rahkeem Williams run wild. Brannan went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Williams scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Williams has posted since back in May of 2024. Aiden Parker was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

South Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jacksonville only posted an OBP of .250.

South Central's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Jacksonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Central will host Northside - Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jacksonville, they will welcome White Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
