Softball Recap: Long Island City Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Long Island City's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 15-12 victory over Sinatra. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-12 on April 4th.

Long Island City's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Sinatra, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Long Island City will welcome Maspeth at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Argos at the right time seeing as the Argos are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sinatra, they will be playing at home against Bryant at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
