Baseball Game Preview: Olton Mustangs vs. Sudan Hornets

For the second straight game, Olton will face off against Sudan. The Mustangs will host the Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Olton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Sudan will come in with six straight victories.

Olton fell victim to Sudan and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 6-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

For Sudan's part, not much got past Cal Carter, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Olton off the board. Carter has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sudan's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Julian Salas, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Olton's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Sudan, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
