After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willis, The Woodlands was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Caney Creek Panthers 61-35. The score was close at the half, but the Highlanders pulled away in the second half with 37 points.

The win snapped The Woodlands' losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-14 record. As for Caney Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cleveland the next time they take the court. Caney Creek will host Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while The Woodlands will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
