Cochrane-Fountain City had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Eleva-Strum on Tuesday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won nine in a row.

While Cochrane-Fountain City might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Eleva-Strum scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 26-24.

Mackenzie Wenger paced Cochrane-Fountain City's offense, picking up 18 kills. Wenger got some help from Norah Lisowski and her 28 assists. Macy Hunger controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Cochrane-Fountain City's record is now 18-8. As for Eleva-Strum, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
