There's no place like home for Rich Township, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They put the hurt on the Thornwood Thunderbirds with a sharp  11-1 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won eight contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jesiah Dawson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Rich Township is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 6-10 otherwise. Dawson was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
 Dawson wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Kobe Burnette, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  Burnette a new career-high.
 Rich Township was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .455. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Rich Township's record now sits at 8-11. As for Thornwood, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-7.
Rich Township will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Thunderbirds: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
