Softball Recap: Reedy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Reedy and Frisco squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Reedy had to settle for second. They fell 9-6 to the Raccoons. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Megan Lau stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Crosby, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Reedy's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Frisco, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-13-1.

While Reedy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
