While Ottoville's victory against McComb wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Big Green had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2 on Saturday. The Big Green haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Ottoville was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 18-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Vanessa Hilvers paced Ottoville's offense, picking up 19 kills. Hilvers got some help from Briley Wertenberger and her 35 assists. Hilvers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Ottoville's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for McComb, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Ottoville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Leipsic on the 30th. As for McComb, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Elmwood on the 29th.
