Basketball Game Preview: Lamar Thunder vs. DSST: Montview Knights

The Lamar Thunder will face off against the DSST: Montview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Lamar came up short against Colorado Springs Christian and fell 51-43. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Carlin Weber, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Brooklyn Robbins was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

DSST: Montview has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-35 heartbreaker at the hands of Regis Groff.
