Soccer Game Preview: Dixon vs. Cape Fear Academy

The Dixon Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Dixon is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against New Hanover on Thursday as Dixon made off with a 7-1 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting New Hanover from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Lily Getman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Cape Fear Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came out on top against Richlands by a score of 4-2.

Dixon now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Cape Fear Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-0-1.
