Lake Forest's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Mundelein Mustangs by a score of 1-0. Lake Forest were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mundelein apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Mundelein, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-16.

Looking ahead, Lake Forest will welcome Stevenson at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mundelein, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Wauconda on the 8th.
