Volleyball Recap: Newbury Park Extends Winning Streak to Four

Newbury Park waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ventura Cougars. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

The win didn't come easy: Ventura scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 27-25, 25-23.

Newbury Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Ventura, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Newbury Park will take on Justin Garza in a tournament on Friday. As for Ventura, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
