Basketball Recap: Holy Family Catholic Comes Up Short

Holy Family Catholic lost against Southwest Christian back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Holy Family Catholic Fire came up short against the Southwest Christian Stars, falling 83-59. While losing is never fun, the Fire can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Stars are ranked 61st).

Holy Family Catholic has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Southwest Christian, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

Looking ahead, Holy Family Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Hutchinson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest Christian, they will challenge Blake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwest Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Blake likes a good challenge.
