Basketball Game Preview: Meridian Trojans vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

Meridian is 1-9 against Lynden Christian since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Meridian Trojans will take on the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Meridian was able to grind out a solid win over Mt. Baker, taking the game 56-48.

Meanwhile, Lynden Christian beat Burlington-Edison 56-44 on Friday.

Meridian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Lynden Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Meridian took a serious blow against Lynden Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 62-12. Can Meridian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
