Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Summertown's 12th in Last 14 Outings

Summertown won the last time they faced Perry County, and Kurt Burleson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Summertown Eagles came out on top against the Perry County Vikings by a score of 69-59 on Tuesday thanks in part to Burleson, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Sawyer Sherman, who posted seven points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Despite the loss, Perry County still got an impressive performance from Colton Pevahouse, who went 8 for 18 en route to 22 points and seven assists. Landon Warren was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points along with six boards and three blocks.

Summertown is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game.
