Recap: Flagler Panthers vs. Elbert Bulldogs
The Flagler Panthers struggled with assists on Saturday (the Elbert Bulldogs had 1300% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Flagler was dealt a 69-30 defeat at the hands of Elbert. Flagler was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-12.
Despite the defeat, Flagler saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Hill scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was JR Kountz, who scored 7 points.
Elbert's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Cornell, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Tesman, who scored 15 points.
Flagler's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Elbert, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flagler will challenge Genoa-Hugo/Karval at 4:00 p.m. on December 12th. Elbert is on the road again on Saturday and play against Bethune at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th.
